Meistersaal am Potsdamer Platz

The reopening of the Meistersaal at the beginning of 2009 marks a new chapter in the 100 year old history of this jewel from the Wilhelm II Era which gave rise to the Berlin Art Secession. The new concept combines the elegance of the turn of the last century with the versatile possibilities of light and tone staging to reach an exciting contrast between the traditional and the modern. With its central location near Potsdamer Platz and numerous new technical possibilities, the Meistersaal offers you a very special space, be it for an elegant evening gala, a hip event or a professional conference.

The Meistersaal ensemble stretches over two floors. The entire area comprises about 650 square meters, which is adequate for up to 500 guests. The entrance foyer, the cloak room and the elegant stairway to the upper floor are located on the ground floor. Passing through the representative Wandelhalle one reaches the event and gastronomy area on the first floor: the Meistersaal with a large stage (4 x 8 m) and two artist rooms, a modern smoking lounge with its own bar as well as the Green Salon, a favourite meeting point with an impressive bar.

Our completely updated and extensive event technology opens many possibilities for lighting, sound, video and stage effects. A high capacity beamer connected to a 20 sq m, electronically controlled screen makes professional presentations as well as video productions possible. Our event technicians have years of experience, a fine sense for atmosphere and a healthy view towards what is economically feasible. They create the individual framework for every event according to the guidelines of a “functional”, “festive” or “stimulating” atmosphere.
