Brauhaus Südstern

Microbrewery, beergarden, restaurant, event location The brickwork ambience of this Kreuzberg brewery offers a unique atmosphere and seating for up to 180 people. There is room for 60 on the terrace facing the street, and the beer garden in Volkspark Hasenheide has 140 sunny spots far away from any street noise. The brewery's premises are ideal for private and business functions and offer plenty of room for tour groups. After the shutdown of both the Schultheiss Brewery and the Berliner Kindl Brewery on Rollbergstrasse, the Brauhaus Südstern is the only brewery in Kreuzberg and around Hermannplatz.

Food and beer Beside the hearty and tasty food corresponding to our homebrewed beer, there is a weekly changing season menu with vegetarian and regional dishes. We offer fresh, unfiltered and cask-conditioned beers that retain all of their vitamins, minerals, active yeast, and other vital substances. You can lease our premises - the entire brewery or parts of it - from small family celebrations to business functions or graduation parties, with up to 200 people. There is plenty of room on our stage for live music, a DJ, or comedy and cabaret. Of course, we also have a dance floor.

Guided tour and location Guided tour for groups with the master brewer, approx. 45 min. You see and touch the ingredients used for brewing beer, get an explanation of the process and visit the different stages like the mashhouse and fermentation. Additionally you get a lot of informations about the history of beer-making. Incl. beer degustation. You can reach the restaurant easily by public transportation system: U7 station Südstern. When your group comes by tour bus, the guests can get off in front of the restaurant. Lots for busses are within 300m.
